With an array of musical styles, influenced from traditions and heritages from around the world, America has become a musical hub of creativity. Cedar High School’s Advanced Orchestra, under the direction of Christina Carrigan and SUU’s Jazz Band, under the direction of Thomas Herb will help us bring to life the variety of music that America has to offer. A large combined orchestra will perform Hoe Down from Aaron Copland’s Rodeo Ballet, ending the evening with a grand fanfare.


November 10- Conducted by Adam Lambert

The chill of the fall air, the smell of a flower blossom, and the beauty of the countryside provides the perfect setting for an evening of fine music. With the highly requested Vivaldi’s Seasons and the famous Flower Duet by Leo Delibes we explore the delicacies. Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony demonstrates the grandeur of nature with lush melodies and rich harmonies.

A sacred legacy that is performed around the world, is honored in Cedar City with the 76th performance. With generous donation from the State Bank of Southern Utah and the Leavitt Group, coupled with the volunteer musicians and chorale, we can hear the sacred tones that transcends through the ages.


February 11- Directed by Xun Sun

Designed for children of all ages, science will take center stage as experiments dazzle enhancing the dynamics and colors of the music. Hands on art and science activities take place before and after the concert.


February 23- Directed by Xun Sun

Christian Bohnenstengel performs Rachmoniff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, a theme which has inspired many composers to create. A world premiere of Valley of Enchantment by Mark Dal Porto highlights the beauty that surrounds us in Southern Utah.


April 6- Directed by Adam Lambert and Carylee Zwang

Roy L. Halversen was a beloved teacher in Cedar City. He studied at Juilliard and in Germany. His dedication and passion has been passed down through his students. We honor his legacy by showcasing talent of youth soloists. We end the evening with a rousing rendition of the Barber of Seville Overture.
